Requests to Portal APIs are limited to 200 requests per minute per source IP address. Some endpoints have a lower limit.

How limits are counted

Rate limits are counted per source IP address over a one-minute window. They are not counted per Portal client, per environment, or per API key.
  • Every request your backend sends from the same IP address shares one limit, across all of your clients and environments.
  • Requests that the SDKs send from your users’ devices count against each device’s own IP address.
A request over the limit receives an HTTP 429 response with an HTML body (not JSON) and no Retry-After header. Retry it with exponential backoff.
